In 2009 we began the process of gaining all the required permits and licenses to be able to grow Pacific White Shrimp in an enclosed environment in Ontario. This was not an easy task, but we are now growing them in a 200 x 40 foot barn producing 300 pounds of fresh shrimp a week at max capacity.
Our shrimp come from a pathogen free hatchery in Florida. When they arrive at our facility they are acclimated into our starter tanks based on PH, Salinity, and Temperature. The shrimp spend 1 month in these smaller tanks before being moved to our grow out tanks for the final 3 months of growing time.
Being we are obsessed with freshness our shrimp are harvested the day of delivery or pick up and are sold whole fresh never frozen.
